Spring 2025
Executive Function Management Strategies that Work!
- March 7, 2025, 8 am–3 pm Eastern Time
- Online via Zoom
- Early Bird Savings end February 14, 2025
Are your clients with ADHD engaged and thriving both inside and outside the classroom? Are you seeking proven strategies that you can seamlessly integrate into your existing interventions to help them succeed?
Look no further! Adiaha, esteemed President of the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, is ready to equip you with evidence-informed management strategies.
She begins by laying the foundation with comprehensive insights into the DSM-V criteria, neurobiology, and the diagnostic process of ADHD. You will learn why a child you are working with might have complex ADHD, a common condition where ADHD co-occurs with other neurodevelopmental or learning diagnoses. She will reinforce the importance of being proactive practitioners to prevent the consequences of undiagnosed and untreated ADHD. Adiaha will share her Model of Executive Functions (EFs) to show how dysfunctions in EFs impact the way your students with ADHD think, feel, and act across various settings – be it in school, at home, or in your intervention sessions. She will then enrich your toolkit with an array of resources and interventions that work! Adiaha will provide you with multiple EF strategies to empower your students in managing their own behaviors during your sessions and in their real life! Discover ideas for ADHD-supportive classroom, effective communication and instruction, classroom behavior management, completion of class work, homework, as well as individual and group projects, self-care, and other ways to support the student, teachers, and families. Adiaha will ensure an interactive day with multiple case studies and activities throughout.
Leave this day empowered with multiple concrete strategies to help your students the very next day!
BONUS: Practical Toolkit: Adiaha’s Model of Executive Functions; Executive Functions Domains Cheat Sheet; Executive Functions Management Strategies in ADHD Cheat Sheet; Executive Functions Observations and Management Worksheet; Classroom Behavior Management Strategies Cheat Sheet
