Mindfulness Practices for Your Pediatric Clients

From Quiet Meditation to Active Mindful Movement

There is a plethora of evidence that mindfulness works for our client’s minds and bodies! And mindfulness is not all just quiet meditation. In this highly interactive course continuation education course, Peggy will lead you through practice of multiple mindfulness practices, from the “quiet” ones to active mindful movement.  You will learn how to integrate these activities to your therapy practice, at home, in school or in the community, for improving behavior, promoting social skills, and addressing educational goals for your clients. You will also learn the application and benefit of mindfulness as self-care for the child’s caregivers, educators…and yourself! She will also present evidence on effects of mindfulness for individuals with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. 6 continuing education hours of training.
