Supplementary Aids and Services

The Role of OT, PT and Speech Providers in Decision-Making and Delivery of SaS

While Supplementary Aids and Services (SaS) can help students successfully participate in their education, it can often be confusing for OT, PT and Speech providers. Can they deliver SaS? If so, how?

In this continuing education webinar, Sue explains the benefits of providing OT, PT or Speech services as SaS. You will learn a step-by-step decision-making for providing your expertise via SaS, including documentation required for the IEP. You will leave with a worksheet/template and clinical reasoning prompts for each step, to guide you and your IEP team’s decision-making. Sue will provide you with examples of appropriate SaS delivered by OT, PT or Speech providers, as well as data collection strategies to ensure SaS delivery and to monitor student outcomes.
